1. What is balanced holistic dog training?

Balanced dog training combines positive reinforcement techniques with clear boundaries and consistent rules. We focus on your dog’s individual needs—considering their health, environment, and personality—to promote well-rounded behavior and overall well-being.

2. How long will it take to see results?

Every dog is different, and the time it takes to see results depends on your dog’s specific needs, age, and any existing behavioral challenges. Some dogs may show improvements after just a few sessions, while others may require more time. We’ll work with you and your dog to set realistic goals and timelines.

3. What age should I start training my dog?

It’s never too early or too late to start training! Puppies can begin basic training as early as 8 weeks old, while older dogs can benefit from training at any age. Starting early helps form good habits, but don't worry if you have an older dog—training can resolve behavior issues and improve quality of life at any stage.

4. How do I know which training program is right for my dog?

The right training program depends on your dog’s needs, behavior, and your training goals. We’ll take into account your dog’s personality, health, and any underlying factors that could affect their behavior. A free consultation helps us determine the best approach to create lasting, meaningful changes.

8. What should I bring to training sessions?

For in-person sessions, please bring a leash, collar, your dog’s favorite treats, water, and any training aids we may be using.

Yes, I use e-collars as part of my balanced training approach. E-collars, when used correctly and humanely, are an effective tool for reinforcing communication and enhancing obedience. This tool, along with other techniques, allows me to provide clear communication with your dog, ensuring they understand their boundaries and expectations in a safe, controlled manner.

15. Do you offer training for dogs with behavior issues or medical conditions?

Yes, we offer customized training programs for dogs dealing with behavioral challenges such as anxiety, aggression, or reactivity. 16. Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered for training?

No, spaying or neutering is not required for training. However, if a female dog goes into heat during the training process, we will pause training for the duration of the heat cycle (approximately 4 weeks) to ensure the training environment remains focused and effective. Once the heat cycle is finished, training will resume as planned.
