Veteran Dog Training Program in Phoenix– In Partnership with Sierra Delta

At Fetch This Canine, I’m proud to support Sierra Delta’s mission to empower veterans through dog companionship and structured training. As a Phoenix-based trainer for the Life Buddy Program, I’ve developed a unique dog training experience designed specifically for veterans and their dogs. Whether you're working toward basic obedience, advanced skills, or just looking to build a stronger bond, this program is for you. Open to all veteran dog owners—whether your dog is a pet, an ESA, or a future service dog—this program ensures every veteran has the opportunity to train with purpose and support.

Is This Program Right for You?

This program is designed for veterans who:

  • Have served in the U.S. Armed Forces

  • Have a dog (or are getting one) who would benefit from obedience training

  • Want a structured, supportive experience that empowers them to lead

  • Have received a Sierra Delta grant and are ready to complete their training plan

Program Breakdown

3 Week Weekday Board & Train

Your dog will stay with me in my home Monday through Friday for three weeks (15 training days), learning foundational obedience and calm, reliable behavior. We train in real-life environments to ensure your dog can thrive both at home and in public spaces.

Weekend Home Practice

Each Friday, before your dog goes home for the weekend, we’ll meet for a one-hour coaching session. I’ll show you what your dog has learned, how to confidently handle them, and give you a customized plan for weekend practice. You’ll receive personalized goals to help reinforce training and build your leadership skills — making sure you’re supported every step of the way.

Follow-Up & Real-World Reinforcement

After the board and train program ends, we’ll meet for four follow-up sessions in everyday locations where your dog needs to succeed:

  • In Your Home – Establish structure, boundaries, and consistent routines

  • At a Park – Practice recall, leash manners, and polite public behavior

  • At a VFW or Veteran Space – Build calm focus around people and activity

  • In a Store – Navigate busy indoor spaces with ease and confidence

Plus, you'll receive a Holistic Wellness Consultation that includes nutrition, supplements, stress reduction strategies, and wellness tips tailored for your dog.
